Thanks, Easter Bunny! Woof, Woof!
It's Easter Sunday, you just left church, can't really go hunting for jelly bean-filled eggs and you're bored. Sound familiar? Well, whether you've got a pup or not, the Easter in the Park Pooch Parade and Costume Contest is pampering dogs in Easter bonnets, boas and even a few hair dye jobs for your amusement. Dog owners are also invited to dress up with their little friends for a chance to win Best Owner/Pet Look-Alike. Breeds ranging from Teacup Chihuahuas to Great Danes are invited to dress up and celebrate. After the fun, the traditional Dallas Symphony Orchestra will play an outdoor concert, featuring a few light classics and pop favorites. Guests are also invited to bring blankets and their picnic baskets for an Easter lunch outside. The 25th annual pooch celebration lasts from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Easter Sunday at Lee Park on Turtle Creek Boulevard, 3400 Turtle Creek Blvd. Admission is free and dog registration is $10. For more information, call 214-526-2800 or go to turtlecreekassociation.org.
