The Big German Takes on King James
Lebron James broke ten million Ohioan hearts this summer with his Decision, perhaps the best example of misguided egotism in the history of sports. In bolting to South Beach, he also helped create the NBA's most evil franchise, a basketball Death Star with Pat Riley in the role of the Emperor and Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh in the roles of lesser, evil henchmen to James' Darth Vader. And of course we'd be remiss not to mention former Mav
Jerry Stackhouse Erick Dampier in the role of Ring-Chasing Anonymous Storm Trooper #5. But the Miami Heat haven't come out with the destructive force many observers predicted, dropping more games than expected thanks to an inability to defend quick point guards and big men in the middle. Sure, they're good, but anyone who thought they might go undefeated was sadly mistaken. With any luck, the Mavs' Tyson Chandler will feast upon the Heat in the paint when the two teams meet this Saturday, freeing Dirk to fill up the bucket and take down the Death Star Skywalker-style. Just be sure to take your booing talents to the AAC and help our boys out. Tip-off's at 7:30 p.m. The game will probably sell out, but before you go the scalper route, check ticketmaster.com.
