Toss on your best bell-bottoms, practice your hip shake and shine up your best side smirk; it's the King's birthday. The only artist ever dubbed the King of Rock 'N' Roll turns 75 this year, and what better way to celebrate than by spending a night with the one and only Kraig Parker (easily the best living Elvis 'round these parts)? Songs like "Jailhouse Rock" and "Can't Help Falling in Love" are just a couple of unforgettable hits that still linger in minds as young as, well, mine. So, join KLUV-98.7 FM in a truly personable birthday tribute to the King Saturday in the Malachite Showroom at the Hotel InterContinental, 15201 Dallas Parkway. The show starts at 7:30 p.m., and tickets are $25. For more information, go to kluv.com.
