It’s rare to read the words “The dinosaur trail is stroller friendly,” and yet you will find exactly that at Heard Museum’s exhibit of life-sized animatronic dinos. That’s right, Heard is going all Jurassic Park on you and those you love with a walkable, strollerable half-mile nature trail simply littered with circuit-powered rock star reptilians. Think of this exhibition as playing all the hits. You’ll find classic beasts you love like Dilophosaurus, Brachiosaurus and T. Rex, and maybe a few B-sides thrown in to keep you on your learnin’ toes. (Anyone remember Edmontia? Me neither.) There will be nine total and they cross the great foodie divide, including both herbivores and carnivores. Enjoy quality dino time Tuesdays through Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and on Sundays from 1 to 5 p.m. Tickets for grown-ups cost $11. Heard Museum is located at One Nature Place, in McKinney. Visit heardmuseum.org.
Tuesdays-Sundays. Starts: Oct. 16. Continues through Feb. 23, 2012
