These Cats Can Really Swing
While trying to enjoy America's pastime at Ranger's Ballpark, do you suffer from a guilty feeling while shoving your way past little-leaguers in autograph lines? Instead of triumph, do you feel remorseful each time you outrace 9-year-olds down Greene's Hill for homers? You should. But for all of you overzealous fans harboring unhealthy obsessions, there is a safer, saner approach to meeting the big-guns of the Texas Rangers and snagging memorabilia. You can find several players and broadcasters at Park Place Dealerships' Annual Rangers Triple Play: A Night on the Boardwalk. After winning the American League pennant last season and starting off this season at the jazzy clip of nine wins and one loss, it's clear that the Rangers can really swing, so they're dialing the theme of A Night on the Boardwalk back to the Roaring Twenties. The charity event will include live and silent auctions, dinner, drinks and dapper company. Leave the home run balls to the kids, meet the players and make bids on memorabilia and trips. Rangers Triple Play: A Night on the Boardwalk begins at 6:30 p.m. at the Hilton Anatole, 2201 Stemmons Freeway. Tickets are $350 per seat.
