To the Fort, Naughty Monkeys!
Craig Ferguson's comedy routines might begin with the conversational tone you'll hear from some comics, but they rapidly transform into a hasty barrage of humor spat out in his distinct Scottish accent. The Emmy-nominated Late, Late Show host brings the manic tone of his evening monologues to Bass Hall. His topical humor details everything from the minutia of day-to-day life to pop culture and politics, all with the unique tint of an outsider looking in. Ferguson's lengthy career has brought him from punk-rock drummer to stand-up comic, writer and actor, most noted for his role as the sadistic boss Nigel Wick in The Drew Carey Show and his recent memoir, American on Purpose: The Improbable Adventures of an Unlikely Patriot. Therein, the Glasgow-born Ferguson details his steady rise to fame overseas and his eventual immigration to the place he once described as "the greatest country in the world." Ferguson performs 7:30 p.m. Sunday at Bass Performance Hall, Fourth and Calhoun streets in Fort Worth. Tickets are $38.50 to $60.50. Call 817-212-4280 or visit basshall.com.
