Venture Deep Into Art
Other than the never-ending construction on Elm Street, there is very little not to like about Deep Ellum. This neighborhood of bars, restaurants, music and art has plenty of parking and is by far the most colorful area in Dallas. If you don’t believe me, head to the Deep Ellum Gallery Walk on Saturday. This self-guided walking tour of the plethora of art galleries in this district introduces you to the likes of Kettle Art Gallery, BeefHaus, The Public Trust and 14 other galleries. Plus, if you make it down to the Continental Gin Open Studios you can see the work space of Dallas’ living, breathing artists. When your eyes can’t take in any more creativity, head to Twilite Lounge, 2640 Elm St., for the afterparty. For the full list of participating galleries, visit
