She has helped make burlesque a household name again, and now Dita Von Teese brings her show Burlesque: Strip, Strip, Hooray! to the House of Blues. The show will include four performances by Von Teese, featuring her most extravagant props to date, including a Victorian birdcage and a giant art deco-style martini glass covered in Swarovski crystals; and some very complex costuming, like corsets and feathers and tassels and more Swarovski crystals. But, wait, there’s more! In addition to Von Teese, there will be a burlesque all-star variety show, guided by “the hardest working middle-aged man in show business,” MC Murray Hill. Also shaking what their mamas gave them will be Dirty Martini, Catherine D’lish, Perle Noire, Selene Luna, Monsieur Romeo and Lada Nikolska of the Crazy Horse Paris, who will perform the cabaret act “leçon d’érotisme.” Shows are 7:30 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday at the House of Blues, 2200 N. Lamar St. You have to be at least 18 to get in. Tickets start at $35 and are available at livenation.com.
