Less than two years after Trey Parker and Matt Stone introduced us to the foul-mouthed Eric Cartman, Stan Marsh, Kyle Broflovski and Kenny McCormick on Comedy Central, South Park: Bigger, Longer & Uncut debuted on the big screen. The boys' crude vocabulary reaches new levels after they see Asses of Fire, a profanity-laced movie starring their favorite comedy duo from Canada: Terrence and Phillip. In an attempt to duplicate a scene where Terrence lights a fart on fire, Kenny dies and is sent to hell where he discovers that Satan and Saddam Hussein are lovers. Kenny's face is revealed for the first time after Satan thanks him for urging him to stand up to Hussein, who rules the relationship. The movie landed in the Guinness Book of World Records for "Most Swearing in an Animated Film" as it contained 399 profanities, including 146 F-bombs. The song "Blame Canada" earned an Academy Award nomination, leading to the infamous appearances of Parker and Stone at the Oscars dressed in drag as Jennifer Lopez and Gwyneth Paltrow. Revisit this comedy classic by checking it out midnight Friday and Saturday at the Inwood Theatre, 5458 W. Lovers Lane. Call 214-764-9106 or visit landmarktheatres.com.
