For years, Richardson's Wildflower Arts and Music Festival has been the place to see suburban soccer moms whipped into a frenzy by the performances of has-been rockers. This year looks to be no different. Not that the has-been rockers aren't still good—the acts are top-notch and there's good music to be heard, it's just an older crowd, if you're used to the indie club scene. In other words, be prepared to see people far older than your parents attempt to rock out to Eddie Money's "Take Me Home Tonight." Money, a veteran of past Wildflower festivals, is joined this year by Grand Funk Railroad and the Original Family Stone, among others. For those who don't remember '70s music, there's Fastball and Better Than Ezra. Morris Day and the Time will also perform—it'll be interesting to see how many in the crowd will know their '80s hits and how many were introduced to them by the movie Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back. Suburban moms gather Friday through Sunday at Central Expressway and Galatyn Parkway in Richardson. Tickets are $15 per day or $20 for a three-day pass. Visit wildflowerfestival.net.
