You Laugh, But It’s Actually Satan
There are seven heavenly virtues. And they’re boring. Honestly, can you name the seven heavenly virtues? They’re things like fortitude, temperance and prudence. There are no justice squads of superheroes named for the virtues. But the seven deadly sins just roll off the tongue — gluttony, pride, greed, sloth, envy, lust and wrath. They inspire supervillains, fashion shows and Kevin Spacey, and now the most godless burlesque in Dallas. The Seven Deadly Sins Burlesque and Sideshow boasts machetes, barbed wire and hot wax, and a surprise boylesque performance. Hopefully some dancer will finally be able to tackle sloth or gluttony with some gusto. While the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse are unable to attend, Satan himself will be emceeing the event, and if we’re all lucky maybe he’ll shake a little tail? The show starts at 9 p.m. Saturday at Wits End, 2724 Elm St., and tickets are $9. Visit witsenddeepellum.com for more information.
