It’s time for spring break. And although we may not reap the benefits of recess, milk breaks and an official spring break as adults, let’s make it official.

A true Texas retreat
Don’t want to mess with airport security? No problem. We’ve discovered a quaint retreat in Washington County, nestled in the eastern foothills of Texas Hill Country. The Inn at Dos Brisas stretches across more than 300 acres and is packed with activities such as equestrian sports, wine tastings, spa indulgences and even mixology classes. We suspect a margarita will be on the docket for any Texas bartender. Also, be sure to bring your Texas-sized appetite with this getaway. The resort’s organic gardens and greenhouse supply five-star dining. You may even put your own culinary skills to the test with the inn’s baking and cooking classes.

Your bae, beer and some boo
Charleston is a popular destination for Dallasites. It contains that Southern charm. We’ve all seen the show on Bravo TV, right? Plus it’s only two hours and twenty minutes from Dallas, and you snag ocean views, rich history and ghosts. Yep, this spring break just got a little spooky. The Charleston Ghost and Dungeon Walking Tour is offered through the Harbour View Inn and includes a harbor ride.

And if ghosts aren’t your cup of tea, you might want to check out Charleston on Tap. The Andrew Pinckney Inn offers the package, and you can sample suds across the Holy City and meander your way through the Charleston craft beer scene. Plus the hotel will welcome you with a six-pack of assorted local craft beers, branded pint glasses and good ol’ classic Southern snacks in your room.

Glitz and glam in Chi-town
Dashing away for a weekend of glitz and glam is a fun splurge from time to time. The Four Seasons in Chicago has everything you need to treat yo’self 2018. If springing for the lap of luxury wasn’t enough, why not call up the Martini Man for an in-room martini creation experience? Imagine the nostalgia from your childhood of the ice cream man rolling down the block, his scratchy speakers blaring that magical tune, letting you know it’s time to run down the driveway. This is the grown-up version, and you’ll experience your favorite adult beverage. The Martini Man will wheel his cart to your room and keep the drinks pouring. Olives not your thing? There's an official Ice Cream Man too, and he can roll his cart on up and cover your dreams in chocolate candy drops and rainbow sprinkles.

Take it easy in the Big Easy
New Orleans is popular for adult getaways, often involving mischievous nights of bachelor and bachelorette shenanigans. We’ve seen the photos and know what goes on. But why wait for nuptials? Grab a quick flight and get that spring fling going in Louisiana. Spring is the festival season, so pick a weekend for food, music, booze, second line parades and a surefire fun time.

The Royal Sonesta is a popular spot to rest your head at night (once you get there are 5 a.m.) because of its location in the French Quarter. Looking for a photo-worthy spot? Check out the Jazz Playhouse in the hotel. This joint oozes Louisiana goodness from the instruments to the sips to the decorations. You’ll feel as if you were transported into an old-timey New Orleans jazz club.

If you aren’t afraid to venture to the swamps, look no further than Louisiana’s Cajun Bayou, which is 35 minutes southwest of NOLA. Explore in a fishing boat or hear a Cajun music jam. You can even scope out the new Cajun Bayou Food Trail, which debuts the first week of May.
