Fort Worth's Leon Bridges has undoubtedly become one of the biggest stars on the national stage in recent years. His 2015 debut album, Coming Home, charted in the Billboard top 10, scored a Grammy nomination and secured a spot on pretty much every critic's best-of-year list.

Now, with his follow-up release, Good Thing, out in early May, the 28-year-old's career looks primed to reach even greater heights. Tickets go on sale Friday for his lengthy fall North American tour, which will find Bridges and his band playing some of their biggest venues yet.

Although the tour doesn't officially begin until August, Bridges has reserved a special early date for his local fans. He'll play Irving's Toyota Music Factory on June 9, with special guests Jon Batiste and Stay Human as the opening act. Batiste, who recently canceled a Kessler Theater gig because of travel issues, is best known for his role as bandleader for The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.

Tickets, $42 to $96.50, are on sale Friday for pre-sale password holders. General admission tickets will be available at 10 a.m. March 30.
