It's not everyday that the biggest living legend in Texas music plays on the street in downtown Dallas, but this Friday, Willie Nelson will do just that during the Chevy Speed Stampede, a free event coinciding with this weekend's NASCAR races at Texas Motor Speedway. The Whiskey River will flow right down Main Street at 10 p.m. when Willie takes the stage for a set filled with classics like "Blue Eyes Crying in the Rain" and "Crazy." If we're really lucky, Jeff Gordon will join him for a special duet version of "On The Road Again," but either way, there's no good reason to miss this special (and free) show. Country superstar Lee Ann Womack opens Friday, and on Saturday night, country hunk Trace Adkins headlines a surreal bill featuring unlikely NASCAR fans Joan Jett and the Blackhearts.
