Gaglileenhel. Jalillenjal. Gellinlikeafelonhal. I still have no idea how the stink to pronounce his name, but that Jake kid is pretty awesome. And not just because he's dirty hot. He's got a really impressive range as an actor: He's played a pensive and somewhat depressed love interest in The Good Girl, he was a pensive and somewhat depressed love interest in Brokeback Mountain, he played a pensive and somewhat depressed kid stuck in a bubble in Bubbleboy and he was really brave to do that performance as a pensive and somewhat depressed Marine in Jarhead. I think he's been getting acting tips from the Man o' Range himself—that's right, folks. I'm talking about Matthew McConaughey. Hey—I'm not saying Jake's unhot. I'm just saying he's really good at looking like he's thinking. If you want to see Jake Gyllenhaal play a pensive and somewhat depressed kid who time-travels and has the scariest bunny ever as an imaginary friend, see Donnie Darko at the Inwood Theatre (5458 W. Lovers Lane) this Friday or Saturday night at midnight. Tickets are 8 bucks. Imaginary friends get in free. Call 214-764-9106 or visit landmarktheaters.com.
