All you ladies out there can keep your Edward Cullen obsession and King Leonidas fascination. I'd rather have a middle-aged, slightly overweight oceanographer running through my dreams at night. Bill Murray's Life Aquatic character, Steve Zissou, might be suffering from a midlife crisis, but there is something about that tight wetsuit and red beanie that get my wheels turning. Steve just lost his best friend, Esteban, to the mysterious jaguar shark and was also confronted by a man who may or may not be his son. Now he is out to track down and kill the shark, along with his crew and newly discovered son, Ned, and a knocked-up reporter covering the whole shebang. Did I also mention he is filming a documentary with little to no money? Should be interesting, especially considering pirates kidnap one of the crew members and all their dinero, and Zissou decides to plan a rescue mission...mainly for the money. During all this he is also trying to reconcile with his extremely rich wife, who was once married to Steve's part-gay nemesis. The Life Aquatic With Steve Zissou plays at midnight Friday and Saturday at the Inwood Theatre, 5458 W. Lovers Lane. Call 214-764-9106 or visit landmarktheatres.com.
