When it comes to celebrity crushes, I'm stuck in the 1980s. I'm not big on the whole Brad Pitt nonsense; I'd rather have John Cusack standing outside my window playing Peter Gabriel on a boombox. So you can only imagine how giddy I was to find out his 1997 hit movie Grosse Pointe Blank would be playing on the big screen this weekend. This film is the usual boy meets girl, boy stands up girl on prom night to eventually become an assassin, 10 years later boy shows up to win girl back...and to also kill her father. Classic love story. This quirky romance comedy takes place at the Midnight Madness showing this Friday and Saturday at the Inwood Theatre (5458 W. Lovers Lane).
