You know what I've never understood? Why when people are being all cutesy and disgusting, they turn the "o" in the word "love" into a heart instead of the "v." An "o" looks nothing like a heart. The "v," on the other hand, already has the whole bottom part done for you. Think about it. This could save you hours of wasted work when you're doing your Valentine's cards next year. Speaking of which, if you don't have romantic plans for the weekend yet, don't panic. Take your sweetheart to the regional premiere of the romantic comedy Almost, Mainethe newest play in the WaterTower Theatre's Discover Series. The play, which those zany folks at the New York Sun referred to as "love in the time of frostbite," focuses on a fictional small town where the residents keep falling in and out of love, Alicia Keys style. See it at Addison Theatre Centre's Studio Theatre, 15650 Addison Road, Thursday through March 2. Showtimes are 7:30 p.m. Thursdays, 8 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays, and 2 p.m. Sundays. Tickets are $20 and can be purchased by calling the WaterTower Theatre box office at 972-450-6232 or online at watertowertheatre.org.
Thursdays, 7:30 p.m.; Fridays, Saturdays, 8 p.m.; Sundays, 2 p.m. Starts: Feb. 14. Continues through March 2, 2008
