While "choo-choo" is super fun to say, it's more of a blast to see toy trains chug along through teeny towns filled with wee trees and glittery fake snow. Toy trains are a childhood icon that makes you long for holidays past, when all you worried about was getting that awesome new Debbie Gibson album for Christmas. Check out The Trains at NorthPark, a collection of more than 40 vintage locomotives that glide along 2,500 feet of track running past replicas of Dallas, New York, Washington, D.C. and San Francisco. Kiddos will especially love that the mini locomotives are themed after Thomas the Tank Engine and friends. The Trains are located at NorthPark Center near Neiman Marcus on the upper level. Part of ticket sales benefits the Ronald McDonald House of Dallas. The exhibit runs during regular shopping hours through January 1. Visit northparkcenter.com.
