Aside from her prolific career as an award-winning gospel singer, a charitable woman and a family gal, Vickie Winans is one of those rare birds that is a "I lived through all this, baby, you're fine" sort of inspiration. Don't believe me? A glance at any of her assorted Web bios available will tell you so. Plus, she sports an elaborate wardrobe and a Web site to match. Seriously. I was prompted to pull on a tassle to enter, catch an angel and double click him…and while listening to the handclap and holler-inciting gospel pop the Vickster belts out. Click on over there first, then catch the bedazzled, generous survivor as she celebrates Martin Luther King, Jr. Day at Bass Hall, Fourth and Calhoun streets in Fort Worth, 7 p.m. Monday. A local choir will perform with Winans and area pastors will be honored. Tickets are $15 to $45 and proceeds benefit the MLK Scholarship Fund. Call 1-877-212-4280 or visit basshall.com.
