It doesn't matter if you're Jerry Jones or a little old ladywe're all subject to arrest in the PC. But then there's Park Cities product Doug Wright, the Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright. He wrote the award-winning play Quills, as well as titles such as The Stonewater Rapture, Watbanaland, Buzzsaw Berkeley and Unwrap Your Candy. Now through March 26, the Dallas Theater Center will present Wright's Tony Award-winning play, I Am My Own Wife, at the Kalita Humphreys Theater, 3636 Turtle Creek Blvd. I Am My Own Wife is the true story of Charlotte von Mahlsdorf, an East German transvestite who lived out life between two of the most repressive regimesthe Nazis and the communistsall while wearing a strand of pearls.
