We're pretty proud of our comic book collection. It's modest but well-organized. But the Spinnaker Collection of 17th-century Chinese snuff bottles makes our enthusiasm for obsessive gathering seem comparatively reserved. The bragging rights that came with our near-mint, first-print edition of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles #3 don't seem as impressive next to any of the 50 ornately decorated curios of the Qing dynasty, each one a choice piece of rare and historic Asian artistry. Damn you, Spinnaker Collection. You win this round. But you will not fare so well in the Babylon 5 costume contest. The Spinnaker Collection of Chinese Snuff Bottles is on exhibit through April 15 at The Crow Collection of Asian Art, 2010 Flora St. The museum is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Sunday (10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday). Admission is free. Call 214-979-6435 or visit crowcollection.org.
