Festival season is upon us once again, and it's time to start planning your schedule wisely. You may have already missed some of the big ones like the Wildflower Festival or ARTFEST, but don't fret—it's not too late to make it to the granddaddy of all local festivals, the fourth annual CityArts Celebration. Get ready for three days of culture and fun, because the Arts District will be full of music and dance showcases, a children's stage, culinary presentations and art displays from more than 80 Texas artists this weekend. For those who haven't spent much time in the Arts District, there will be docent-led Arts District strolls, tours of the Meyerson Symphony Center and previews of the new Performing Arts Center to catch you up to speed. And if free is your flavor of choice, this is the place to be, because there will be free admission to the Dallas Museum of Art, the Crow Collection of Asian Art and, everyone's favorite, the Nasher Sculpture Center all weekend long. In addition, the Dallas Symphony Orchestra will kick off the first night with an intermission-free concert of classics at the Meyerson Symphony Center at 8 p.m. The festivities take place from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. Friday, 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday in the Arts District in downtown Dallas.
