If you were a child of the '80s, you might have spent some time watching men in tights on your tube television. You don't have to be ashamed to admit a childhood fascination with wrestling stars Hulk Hogan, Jake "The Snake" Roberts or Randy "Macho Man" Savage. These muscular, excessively tanned men convinced you they really were beating the crap out of each other. Sure, as an adult you know those crotch jabs and back flips are orchestrated, but it's still thrilling to watch grown men go after each other with chairs, all for a championship belt that looks more like a giant Swatch Watch enveloped in crystals. The new faces of professional wrestling are just as menacing and tan as their predecessors, and they're just as entertaining in the ring. Cheer on your favorite WWE superstars when Monday Night Raw invades Dallas next week. John Cena and Randy Orton will team up against CM Punk and current WWE Champion The Miz in the main event, and other wrestling personalities--including Vladimir Kozlov and David Otunga--will also appear. Get a ringside view of the action at 7:15 p.m. Monday at the American Airlines Center, 2500 Victory Ave. Tickets are $25 to $70. Visit ticketmaster.com to purchase tickets.
Mon., March 7, 7:15 p.m., 2011
