We adults would be as enamored with the zoo as our kids are if, say, there was an adults-only evening replete with food, music and plenty of beer on tap. Where can we sign up for that? We'll tell you where you can sign up for the Dallas Observer's inaugural Brew at the Zoo, but first let's talk about the beer. There are more than 30 breweries handing out samples of their award-winning and crowd-pleasing suds, so sample Oktoberfest from Saint Arnold Brewing Company, Real Ale Brewery's Lost Gold IPA and dozens of other craft beers. We promise that Big Sky's Moose Drool will make you drool, too. Sure the evening's main course is the beer, but there are also bites from The Holy Grail Pub, Pizza by Marco and Hooters, among other vendors. And we shouldn't forget about the animals at the zoo, as they'll be partying right along with us. Rub elbows with residents of Lemur Lookout, Wings of Wonder and Tiger Habitat while you dance to music from The Spazmatics and Rebirth Brass Band. Well, maybe you should keep your limbs, and pale ale, away from the tigers. The party starts at 7 p.m. (6:30 for VIP guests) Saturday at the Dallas Zoo, 650 S. RL Thornton Freeway. Tickets are $30, $60 for VIP (both include beer samples). For tickets and more information visit microapp.dallasobserver.com/zoobrew/2011.
