Skip Black Friday for Canton in the City The Black Friday shopping spree is almost as American as yelling at the television screen while the Cowboys play on Thanksgiving and the family feasts on a turkey dinner. Hell, it might even be even more ’Merican to spend your hard-earned dollars on toys the kids will forget about in a few weeks, but it’s a lot easier to show them you love them with gifts than with real affection. Buy your way into the kids’ hearts, and the rest of the family’s as well, at the Canton in City Holiday Gift Market. The ninth annual market features more than 70 vendors selling all the toys, home accessories and gifts on your wish list, but the best part is missing out on the Black Friday rush. Head to the Grapevine Convention Center, 1209 S. Main St. in Grapevine, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday.
