Bob the Builder, The South Central Llama Association, Jordin Sparks, high school marching bands and Captain America would make for a swinging soiree inside Andy Warhol's Factory. As it turns out, the Children's Medical Center Holiday Parade also values the merriment that a wide range of guests can bring to a shindig. Now in its 25th year, the usually chilly affair is every bit the local institution that the White Rock Marathon, St. Patty's Day on Greenville Avenue and the Rangers losing in the World Series are. The hour-long route is jam-packed, thanks especially to American Idol Sparks lending a helping voice to benefit the patients of Children's Medical Center. All of this warmhearted frivolity will head down Commerce Street and wind towards City Hall starting at 10 a.m. Saturday December 3rd More details can be found at childrens.com/parade.
