The South Western Athletic Conference brings its hustle to town this week. Jerseys have been aired, fans are united and some of the biggest entertainers — from music to comedy — are getting involved by throwing their love at the college sphere. You don't have to suffer from mid-term panic to participate; today's semi-final dunkfest takes place in four rounds (noon, 2:30 p.m., 5:30 p.m., and 8 p.m.) at the Special Events Center in Garland and builds up to tomorrow's big Women's and Men's Finals, which will air live on ESPN U. What's that? You're working and can't play during the day? No worries, SWAC's massive Greek Step-Off is slapping synchopated rhythms at the Palladium tonight (doors are at 7 p.m., and tickets cost $20), with an after party at the Palladium's South Side Music Hall (1135 S. Lamar St., Dallas). There's so much to do, but don't forget to jam in a little comedy time with Kym Whitley, Damon Williams, Rod “Rodman” Thompson, Jeremiah “JJ” Williamson and Kelly “K Dubb” Walker. Those boys are headlining the Second Annual Ballers of Comedy Show at the Dallas Black Academy of Arts and Letters (650 S. Griffin St., Dallas) from 9 p.m. to 11:30 p.m.; tickets range $20 to $30.
