Oh, Greece. As the birthplace of Western culture, you have a lot to answer for: Reality television is on you. So is Miley Cyrus, TMZ and every other scourge that has been born of your loins. Your parenting skills are questionable, but we can’t stay mad at you too long. Your intentions were good. And besides, you cook up some killer grub. As we revisit your warm Hellenic embrace at the Greek Food Festival of Dallas this weekend, our love for you will come rushing back as we devour lamb sliders, gyros, spanakopita and honey-drenched baklava. We’ll reminisce about the good old days while watching Greek folk dancers and enjoying taverna-style music, or meandering through the marketplace and browsing the wares of Greek artisans. We’ll even let you play with the kids as they tackle the arts and crafts area. Despite everything, Greece, it’s good to be home. We’ll get all kinds of Greek from 4 to 11 p.m. Friday, 11 a.m. until 11 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday at the Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, 13555 Hillcrest Road.
