Pecan Lodge Catering and Lockhart Smokehouse will hold a fundraiser to benefit the family of Lt. Shannon Stone, the 39-year-old Brownwood firefighter who died July 7 after falling from the outfield stands at a Texas Rangers game in Arlington. The event, August 14th, at Shed 2 in the Dallas Farmers Market, will include a barbecue dinner, drinks and a live auction. The event will take place 6:30-9:30 p.m. at 1010 S. Pearl Expressway.

Pecan Lodge Catering and Lockhart Smokehouse join forces for a Shannon Stone Memorial Fundraiser in DallasThe event will feature a barbecue dinner with smoked meats from both Pecan Lodge (D Magazine's "Best BBQ" in Dallas winner for 2011) and Lockhart Smokehouse (our local Cathedral for carnivores), burnt end pizzas from Il Cane Rosso's Jay Jerrier along with drinks, music and a live auction. The auction items are being finalized and will be announced soon.
