Three days after The Green Room was supposed to reopen with a "new menu and new wine list," the Deep Ellum restaurant remains closed and publicists are mum on future plans.

The restaurant hasn't changed an outgoing voice mail message promising a January 18 relaunch and soliciting requests for reservations. "Someone will return your call," the speaker says. That hasn't worked out for a friend of City of Ate who earlier this week tried to make a reservation for dinner tonight: Her call hasn't been returned.

"The restaurant will be reopening this week," publicist Brynn Allday, wife of Green Room owner Taylor Allday, told me on Tuesday via e-mail. "I will touch base as soon as I can share more."

Depending on how you define a week, The Green Room's self-imposed deadline could occur as early as this evening. But there's still no word from Allday, who vows "we will be in touch as soon as we are prepared to make any announcements."
