Pour House Dallas at 1300 West Davis Street in Oak Cliff finally got their liquor license, even though they technically opened back in September and were BYOB. That's all situated now.
"PhD" is a spinoff of Eric Tschetter's Pour House on West 7th Street in downtown Fort Worth. Half the restaurant is on a large covered patio with a bar within reaching distance. And there's a second indoor dining room in the back. PhD is one of the first true "sports bar" hangouts in Oak Cliff.
There are several TVs out on the patio and several more in the dining room. The menu includes typical bar food: quesadillas, nachos, cheese sticks, wings, chicken tenders, a full salad menu, sandwiches, wraps, burgers and house favorites; like a Texas sized chicken fried steak and Baja fish tacos.
PhD is open for lunch everyday except Monday and they do a brunch on Saturday and Sunday, which includes $1 mimosas and poinsettias; and $2 MANmosas and MANsetties and a make-your-own bloody Mary bar. (Just throw some vodka at it! That'll make everything better.) The football special for this Saturday, Sunday and Monday was/is $0.75 wings and $18 domestic buckets. They also have some local beer, including Peticolas' Velvet Hammer and Rahr's Oktoberfest.
