January proved to be a busy month in the Dallas food scene. The highly anticipated Sundown at Granada opened its doors, along with a handful of other eateries.

Read on for the full opening and closing slate, and be sure to share tips about restaurant openings or closings in the comments section below or at [email protected].

Openings: Sundown at Granada: The restaurant and beer garden is owned and operated by Granada Theater owner Mike Schoder.

Liberty Burger The burger joint at the corner of Forest and Inwood offers a ton of fancy burger selections.

303 Bar and Grill: The new Oak Cliff restaurant's menu offers everything from kale wraps to duck-fat fries, and its namesake bar special is guaranteed to eff you up.

Bridge Bistro: Kay Agnew (who opened Margaux's) and her daughter, Margaux, opened the restaurant in a corner spot of an old, but renovated building in the design district.

The Stand: Recently opened on McKinney Ave., this American-style eatery boasts some pretty gluttonous (in the best way possible) options. Take for instance their Mac Daddy Dog, a Jumbo Nathan's dog wrapped in bacon, lightly fried with mac n' cheese, topped with chili, cheese and two Tearjerker onion rings all served on a hoagie bun.

Oak: Oak owners Tommy DeAlano and Richard Ellman hired Plan B (who designed Bolsa and Cedars Social) to create their chic space.

Mimi's Pizza: The strip mall at Northwest Highway and Hillcrest welcomed Mimi's pizza early last month.

Hypnotic Donuts: The donut shop opened its new storefront on Garland road.

Closings: Horne and Dekker: The Henderson restaurant known for its "Hangover Brunch" has closed its doors for good.

Lumi, the empanada shop in Uptown, also shut its doors.

Coming Soon: The Commissary, Burger Bus, Spoon Bar & Kitchen: John Tesar has a trifecta of plans for 2012.

Mason Bar: The Uptown restaurant and bar was supposed to open last month, but has yet to open its doors to the public.

Sissy's Southern Kitchen & Bar: Lisa Garza's Uptown soul-food restaurant, Sissy's Southern Kitchen & Bar, is scheduled to open this month.

The Union Bear opens in the West Village tonight.
