Another month flies by, and with it, a batch of restaurants opened and closed. In-N-Out Burger set up shop in Dallas-proper this month, and surprisingly enough, wasn't bombarded by hoards of burger-lovers. We guess everyone got their fill of the Californian mega-chain last month. The Coffee Lab (4000 Cedar Springs Road), was scheduled to open sometime between June 15 and July 1 (according to their website), we were unable to get a hold of anybody, so we drove by the building, and noticed "for lease" signs hanging in the windows, looks like they win the prize for the fastest revolving door.

Restaurants Opening in June
Sugar Queen Cupcakes (2601 Preston Road) -- The hot pink cupcakery's new Frisco location celebrated its soft opening on Wednesday, June 29. The grand opening is on Saturday, July 2.
Red Fork Tavern (2537 N. Fitzhugh Avenue) -- Chef Jeff Harris' new restaurant opened its doors on June 24, and offers brunch, dinner and late night menus.
Vitality House Café (800 N. Coit Road ) -- The café opened the first week of June and boasts a nutritious menu. It even has an in-house nutritionist.
Lolita's (4218 Lemmon Ave.) -- While there's no website, or working phone number for the eatery, there is a "now open" sign hanging on the patio and a valet parking booth setup out front. They've replaced the short-lived Honey Shack, and while we're not sure if they have the same Hooters-like theme, their name certainly implies it.
Restaurants Closing In June
Jack's Backyard (2303 Pittman St.) -- Perhaps the most sudden closing of the month, the Oak Cliff restaurant and bar shut its doors for good this week, and virtually without warning.
PARK (1921 North Henderson Ave.) -- PARK abruptly closed this month, and is set to reopen under new ownership as SWIG in late August or early September. Bar Celine, which was attached to PARK, reopened as The Gin Mill on Saturday, June 24.
Coming Soon
Wild Salsa - The new Mexican restaurant is owned by Dallas Restaurant Group, and ex-Nova chef, Kelly Hightower is managing the project. No date has been set for the opening.
