The NFL Experience, the interactive football theme park that comes to the Dallas Convention Center tomorrow, has a hot dog of its own -- and it's unclear whether any other venue would want it.

To honor Texas, concessionaire Centerplate has concocted the NFLX Superdog, described as "an all-beef hot dog topped with smoked pulled pork, pepper Jack cheese, peach habanero BBQ sauce and cucumber lime relish all rolled in a chipotle tortilla." Centerplate chefs have been too slammed to arrange a photo session, but spokesperson Ashley Luneburg called me back for a quick Superdog chat.

Luneberg confirmed the "ingredients were chosen because of the location," but was intriguingly laconic when it came to questions concerning how the sandwich tastes.

"It sounds messy," I said.

"Yes," Luneberg said.

"Is it good?" I asked.

"Yes," she said. "I know...well, it looks a little...yes, it's good."

For eaters who aren't persuaded, Centerplate's also offering jalapeno sausage on cheddar jalapeno rolls; bourbon wings and "healthy, kid-friendly" items for the 1,200 children forecast to show up on Kid's Day next week. The NFL Experience runs through February 6.
