We're putting it out there: Fuzzy's is the New Starbucks. The Fort Worth-based juggernaut is set to open its 32nd store in four states in late summer -- in The Shops at Mockingbird at Mockingbird Lane and Lemmon Avenue. That would make it the second location on Mockingbird. An outpost opened on Abrams and Mockingbird in 2010. That's practically down the street, but not as bad as the two Starbucks that used be in New York's Astor Place.

Cypress Equities, the managers of The Shops at Mockingbird, have framed the new Fuzzy's as a vehicle for further growth. Its presence will translate to a diverse customer base attracted by similarly diverse tenants. Fuzzy's and Family Dollar, together at last!

It's only a matter of time before Fuzzy's offers the taco equivalent of the Trenta.
