The New Year is just around the corner, and many of us are still scrambling to finish our New Year’s Eve plans. What you’re doing when the clock strikes midnight may well set the tone for the rest of the year, so it’s not a decision to take lightly.

If you’re manifesting a year full of good food and main-character energy, Dallas’ high-end dining scene is the place to be. Here are just a few restaurants offering over-the-top, luxurious dining experiences.

Georgie

4514 Travis St.

What says “I’m already having a better year than you” more than a three-course meal at an upscale Highland Park steakhouse that our critic called a "creative culinary adventure?” New chef RJ Yoakum from French Laundry is ready to party with you. Between 6 and 11 p.m. on New Year’s Eve, Georgie is serving a special three-course menu with items like filet Rossini and duck cassoulet. Monarch

Looking to ring in 2024 like royalty? If you have $400 burning a hole in your pocket, Monarch has you covered with its Royal Revelry and a declaration of “let them eat cake.” This quote, which has dubiously been attributed to Marie Antoinette, refers not only to the party’s extravagant French rococo theme but also to its massive dessert menu with 10 decadent options including a croquembouche. At midnight, the party will move one floor upstairs to Kessaku for a Champagne toast and a view of the fireworks. Tickets can be purchased on the website.

Mot Hai Ba

If you have a taste for fine dining but are looking for a less ostentatious setting, Mot Hai Ba in East Dallas might be your scene on New Year’s Eve. For $120 per guest, enjoy four courses of their renowned Vietnamese cuisine, including kimchi and foie gras dumplings and fillet of lamb neck in an intimate setting. Truluck’s

2401 McKinney Ave.

Truluck’s, a swanky Uptown seafood restaurant, describes itself as a “special occasion restaurant,” and Dec. 31 is a special occasion indeed. The New Year’s Eve package here ($150) comes with four courses, including prime king crab and miso-glazed sea bass as main course options, and an option to add some Champagne to your tab. Crown Block

300 Reunion Blvd. E.

At Crown Block, the steak and seafood restaurant at the top of Reunion Tower, guests have two seating options on New Year’s Eve. This first, starting between 5 and 6 p.m., is $175 and lets guests order from the holiday prix-fixe menu, which includes wagyu croquettes, truffle tuna cones and baked Alaska. The late seating, from 8 to 9 p.m., is $325 and also offers the holiday prix-fixe menu plus a Champagne toast, along with an insider VIP view of the fireworks and complimentary access to Crown Block’s gala party in the Crown Room. Spoiler: none of it spins. Still, it doesn’t get more over the top than partying hundreds of feet above the plebeians bar hopping and struggling to find an Uber below.
