Local alt-rock duo The Phuss has finished up recording its debut album and has tentatively set Halloween as the target date for the CD's release. You may recall a few months back when the boys from the Phuss gave us permission to offer up a fine bonus MP3 of the band's rocking cut "Preacher, Preacher." Now that song--along with six others--are set to make up the debut. All that remains to be done, the band says, is the artwork.
To celebrate completing the recording process, The Phuss will play The Curtain Club this Friday night, along with Brake Vegas, Peacemaker and Night Gallery. In the meantime, go back and check out "Preacher, Preacher"--a fine slab of alt-rock/blues in the vein of Queens of the Stone Age, and, maybe a little, the Toadies.
