This is not your everyday Billboard chart. Each week, we'll tell you which bands are selling in the fine record shops in the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex, where we consumers of music have impeccable taste.

Lance Price, CD Source owner, was exhilarated to have Dawn Richard make an appearance at his store on Saturday, and as a result she has reached top sales this week. "She talked with each fan individually while signing her CD," says Price. "After performing she talked with her fans as a group for a long time about her music and music in general. I've never seen that before. It was really cool. She and her producer said they are indie artists and wanted to support indie stores. And I love her CD."

Price thinks the Grammys seemed to have an effect on results for this week as well. "Alabama Shakes and Frank Ocean both probably got a boost from people wanting to listen to them before the Grammys. Plus Alabama Shakes will be playing at the Palladium on March 12th."

Mark Church, sales asscociate at Good Records, is still enthralled by the classic artists making way. "The new Townes Van Zandt is great and includes a great cover of the Rolling Stones Dead Flowers that you need to hear, and great to see the classic jazz streak continue with the Miles Davis release Kind Of Blue," says Church.
