In a press release sent out earlier this week, the Toadies and Kirtland Records, now with one successful Dia de Los Toadies event (which featured Dove Hunter, Lions, THe BAcksliders, The Tejas Brothers and, of course, the band for which the fest was named) under their belts, have announced the plans for a second such ordeal.

A lot of details still appear to be undetermined--namely, the bands playing the 2 p.m. to 11 p.m. festival who aren't named "the Toadies"--but this much is certain: Dia de Los Toadies will take place on Saturday, August 29, at Rough Creek Lodge in Hico.

Which means no Possum Kingdom Lake (what, too corny?) this time around.

Anyway, tickets go on sale on Friday, through Frontgate Tickets. Mark your calendars accordingly.
