People On Vacation have been a thing for some time now -- almost two years according to the introductory band video we posted earlier this year. Billing themselves as a sort of local supergroup, Smile Smile's Ryan Hamilton and Bowling For Soup's Jaret Reddick have been working on their debut The Carry On EP for just as long.

Judging by the band's live performances and the song clips they've allowed us to pass on to you, it will be a pretty straightforward pop record -- one with big melodies and lighthearted tongue-in-cheek humor, as one might expect from a band called People On Vacation.

Luckily for fans, the wait to hear The Carry On EP won't be long. On Saturday, November 26, they'll be celebrating the release of the record at the Kessler Theater. And, in honor of the release, and the holiday season we're about to enter, the band has passed along an exclusive stream of a Christmas B side "Cheer Up (It's Christmas)." Hopefully, your brain hasn't been inundated with holiday songs yet, so this one might actually be enjoyable.
