Your daily dose of national music news for Thursday, January 15, 2009...

  • Run-DMC (the Kings of Rock!), Metallica and Jeff Beck are the newest inductees into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. I wonder who's going to DJ for Run-DMC since Jam Master Jay has passed? I pray to god it's not Grand Master Flash, I know he's a legend and innovator but he's the worst DJ I've ever heard...
  • Petulant musician/blogger Ryan Adams swears he's quitting music...and blogging. Even though he says he has hearing loss and inner ear damage, I think he likes the sound of his own voice and recording too much to just step away. So, I don't really see that happening.
  • Neko Case has release the first single off her new album Middle Cyclone to the web. And, if you're a blogger, you can help her help out the Best Friends Animal Society by reposting the song. For every blog that reposts it, Case and her label will donate to BFAS. Plus, if you're a fan of Neko's, this song is money!
