With Coachella and Bonnaroo now past us, it's safe to say that we're officially smack dab in the middle of summer music festival season. Unfortunately, this being Texas and all, and that meaning that it can get pretty warm around these parts, the well is rather dry as outdoor festivals on the horizon go -- until, of course, Austin City Limits comes around in late September.

Still, the there are festivals to look forward to -- ones that just happen to be taking place indoors.

You already know about Gorilla Vs. Bear Fest, which will take place on Saturday, July 23, at the Granada Theater. Now, though, comes word of three other local festivals taking place that same month -- one of which even takes place on the same day as the GVB deal. That would be Sundress' inaugural Stella Fest, which will happen at Hailey's Club in Denton and is set to feature the likes of Sundress (duh), Stardeath & White Dwarfs, Record Hop, Final Club and others, with another round of band announcements set to come on July 1.

Before that, though, two other festivals will take place in Dallas proper on the weekend leading up to July 4.

On Saturday, July 2, the folks behind Up to 11 Entertainment will take over the stages at Dada for a festival called Rock-A-Tron 5000. The 15-band bill, which will cost just $5 to enter, will feature the likes of Whiskey Folk Ramblers, Babar, Sealion and Here Holy Spain.

The very next day, on Sunday, July 3, at the Green Elephant, Poor Vida Productions will throw their annual Elements of Hip-Hop party, which this year will see 40-plus bands perform on two stages for just $7.50 a head. Performers include A.Dd+, Killa MC, Ty City, CoLab, Playdough and many, many more.
