Yesterday, Stereogum launched a new bit called Exposure, where musicians interview other musicians--like a hipster, music-focused Interview magazine (redundant?) except that it's on video and online.

For the debut episode, the Dallas-bred Alan Palomo of Neon Indian gets tapped to interview one Peter Gabriel. Does a pretty good job, too, nerding out on some specific equipment questions but never losing the overall aim of crafting an entertaining dialogue. We'd normally be surprised by something like this, but we've seen Palomo work some media wonders firsthand before. Really: At this past SXSW, we saw him steal a reporter's string (because all good reporters carry string, you know) and make a cat's cradle out of it because the reporter was interviewing him on camera. It was impressive, to say the least. But I digress.

Give the above clip a watch. It's a good interview and the guy knows what he's doing, that's all I'm saying.
