Paul Levatino just sent word that Dallas hip-hop goddess Erykah Badu will make a special appearance Saturday at Yo Gabba Gabba! Live at Dr Pepper Arena in Frisco.
"I love this show," Badu said via press release, "especially because it uses 808 drums sounds to teach kids the alphabet and numbers. Yo Gabba Gabba give the b-boys and b-girls of the 80's a creative way to bond with their children."
And that's exactly what she'll be doing, as she invited her daughter Puma--and Puma's entire kindergarten class--to the show.
There are two performances, 11 a.m. and 3 p.m., and Badu will perform at both.

Dallas' #1 B-Girl Erykah Badu takes the stage this Saturday, November 28, 2009 at the Dr. Pepper Arena with her friends from the hit children's television show, Yo Gabba Gabba! Badu will make a special appearance with DJ Lance Rock and the five friendly characters, Brobee, Foofa, Muno, Plex and Toodee, as part of the live touring show: Yo Gabba Gabba! Live: There's a Party in My City.
Erykah Badu, hip-hop goddess and icon of the neo-soul movement, knows the importance of nurturing the future of hip-hop and she applauds Yo Gabba Gabba for its approach. Badu's entourage for this show will be bigger than ever as she has invited her daughter Puma's entire kindergarten class to show. "It's important for me to give my time in this way because I want to be in the memory of children's learning forever," said Badu.
