Bright Eyes is the biggest band to come out of Omaha ever. Fronted by indie-rock icon Conor Oberst, around whom the entire city's scene more or less revolves, they're one of the most revered acts of the last decade. But that hasn't stopped them from trying their hands at some outside musical ventures. Oberst and Bright Eyes multi-instrumentalist Mike Mogus joined My Morning Jacket's Jim James, M. Ward, and Centro-Matic's Will Johnson to tour with Monsters Of Folk in 2009.

Nowadays, after that whole supergroup thing ran its course, they've switched their focus back to Bright Eyes, and with the February release of their record The People's Key, they've planned a tour that will land them at The Palladium Ballroom on Thursday, September 15. Tickets will be on sale for $28 this Friday at 10 a.m. through Ticketmaster.

Also on the show announcement front, two upcoming shows have added some impressive female-fronted power to their bills. The first one also takes place on Thursday, September 15, at House Of Blues, when Foster The People will be supported by indie up-and-comers Cults. And on Explosions In The Sky's outdoor show at the AT&T Performing Arts Center the next day, on Friday, September 16, audiences will find Twin Sister opening the show.
