opening for Nicki Minaj over the weekend was his exit strategy: leaving the stage on a Segway. Minutes later, it seems, his next Dallas
appearance was announced.

is one of the lesser known intersections between hip-hop and rock. Yoni
Wolf's super cerebral rhymes churn over beautifully produced lo-fi
arrangements. There's not a bad album in the band's collection of four,
and that's not including Wolf's brilliant work on the 2003 record Hymie's Basement.

Monday, November 5, at McFarlin Auditorium, $34.50-$44.50
According to Les Claypool, via Billboard,
this won't just be any Primus tour. Fans will be given 3-D glasses when
they walk in McFarlin Auditorium. The band will play in front of a
screen, which will have 3-D images playing throughout the show. There
will also be a surround sound system set up.
The Sea and Cake
Thursday, November 15, at Trees, $13/$16
For
almost 20 years, Chicago's The Sea and Cake have been blending jazz and
rock. Trees seems like the perfect venue for this show, as it's the
place the band would have been most likely to play during their heyday.

The
Polyphonic Spree's 10th annual Holiday Extravaganza will take place at
Lakewood Theater on Saturday, December 22. The show will happen in
tandem with the release of the band's first-ever Christmas album.
