This past weekend Ishi proved that its ability to throw a party is well above the local norm--at least as far as indie dance bands go.

At their album release show at the Sons Of Hermann Hall, they offered plenty of catered food and booze for the whole party. In fact, the only thing they were short on was space on the dance floor, as the crowd was shoulder to shoulder in the historic ballroom. Read all about Saturday night's festivities in this upcoming week's paper.

Meanwhile, it turns out that the party isn't yet over for Ishi: They've just announced that they'll be bringing it to Downtown Dallas' Main Street Garden Park for this weekend's Homegrown Festival, rounding out its already-stellar all-local bill.

The folks over at Homegrown have been nice enough to pass another two pairs tickets our way to give to a lucky DC9 reader. Want 'em? The first two people to email me with the words "Dance Party" in the subject line will be the winner. Good luck!

Update: Contest is over. Congrats to our winners!
