- Fall Out Boy lead singer Patrick Stump (the one with all the hats) was arrested for traffic warrants in California. He was then released on $15,000 bail for driving with a Illinois license instead of a California one. I know California is in deep economic trouble, but... really?
- I don't know what's harder to grasp: that Reba McEntire scored only her second No. 1 album in 30 years this week, or that she got it by selling just 95,000 copies. I'm not sure what's in the crapper more, the economy or the music industry.
- Ellie Greenwich, writer of the best girl-group song ever, "Be My Baby," has passed away.
