So much for wondering: Yesterday evening, the folks behind the Lilith Fair sent out an official statement confirming that the Lilith Fair's scheduled stop in Dallas at Superpages.com Center on Monday, August 16, has been canceled, just as we thought it would be.
Straight from the release:
"We are in the midst of one of the most challenging summer concert seasons with many tours being cancelled outright," says Lilith co-founder Terry McBride. "Everyone involved with the tour would like to apologize to the fans and artists scheduled to play in these markets, and express appreciation for all the support for the festival's return. Lilith remains the only tour of its kind, and we are confident that fans will be amazed by what each date has to offer."Refunds are available at the point of purchase.
This is the second major touring festival to cancel a Dallas show this summer. Earlier in the season, Warped Tour promoter Kevin Lyman canceled the Dallas stop of his new venture, the Country Throwdown. It, too, was scheduled to stop by the Superpages.com Center.
